# How To Make It:

01 - In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, remaining sugar, eggs, salt, and a few drops of blue food coloring. Mix well. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add more coloring as needed for a bold blue.
02 - Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
03 - In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
04 - Punch down dough. Roll out to a 16x12-inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly over dough, sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Roll up tightly from the long side; slice into 12 even rolls.
05 - Arrange rolls in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
06 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake rolls 22–25 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Cool slightly.
07 - Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and blue food coloring; beat until creamy and vibrantly blue.
08 - Spread blue frosting thickly over warm rolls. Place two candy eyes and half a mini cookie on each roll to resemble Cookie Monster.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • These rolls are breakfast and dessert wrapped in one playful package that makes everyone smile before they even take a bite.
  • The blue might seem bold, but the combination of cinnamon, chocolate chips, and tangy cream cheese frosting creates flavors that work surprisingly well together.
02 -
  • Dough that feels too sticky is better than dough thats too dry, so resist the urge to keep adding flour or your rolls will turn out tough.
  • The second rise might feel like forever when everyone is hungry, but skipping it makes the rolls dense instead of light and fluffy.
03 -
  • Use gel food coloring instead of liquid to avoid adding extra liquid to your dough, which can throw off the texture.
  • Let the rolls cool for just ten minutes before frosting, so the frosting spreads easily but still melts slightly into the warm rolls.
